A Silver color metal and enamel device 31/32 inch (2.46 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Argent, two flaunches Sanguine, in chief a cross couped Gules. Attached below the shield a Maroon scroll inscribed UE LOS MAS PUEDAN COMBATIR in Silver.
Maroon and white are the colors traditionally associated with the Medical Corps. The cross symbolizes medical care and compassion. The flaunches narrow the field, symbolizing the Canal Zone, where the unit was activated. The motto translates to That The Most May Fight.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 16 April 1942. It was amended to revise the description and symbolism on 16 November 1993.
